Dead drifting a stonefly nymph or a size 16 pheasant tail through a hole is always sure to produce a fish. Nymphs are a constant supply of food for trout living in Western Rivers. Nymphs live in the water year around and because of this constant supply of food, 85 percent of a trout’s diet is subsurface insects. Nymphing has become a popular technique for catching trout all year long.
